Sharjeel Khan PSL PhotoOne of the aggressive left handed opening batsman and part-time Legbreak bowler of Pakistan International cricket is Sharjeel Khan, born in August 14, 1989 in Hyderabad. In domestic teams, he has been a part of team Hyderabad Hawks in year 2015-2016, team Hyderabad in 2009, team ZTBL in 2011, Pakistan A cricket team in 2013 and the Islamabad United team has selected him for season 2016 as a batsman. He made his first-class debut for Hyderabad against Islamabad in 2009.

Although he did not have a great start to his domestic career, his performances improved over time and he ended up with over 800 runs in that season.

In the only domestic T20 game that he played, he scored a remarkable 101 runs. Eventually, he was noticed, that earned him his ODI and T20 caps in 2013. In his debut ODI game against Sri Lanka, Sharjeel Khan played a sparkling knock of 61 at Sharjah as an opener. However, in games that followed and in the 2014 Asia Cup, he was not able to reconstruct his magic and was unable to renovate upright starts into big scores.

In the three T20Is he has played so far, Sharjeel was valuable in giving Pakistan a rapid start in the initial overs. In his third T20I game, he hit his maiden fifty in just 25 balls. Still new to the international circuit, selectors retained faith in his abilities and made him a part of Pakistan’s World T20 campaign in 2014. Hia interesting stat is that in 2010, Sharjeel was a part of the team at the Asian Games in China, which won the bronze medal by defeating Sri Lanka in the play-offs.

His ODI Debut was against Sri Lanka at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah, on December 18, 2013. His Last ODI was also against Sri Lanka at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla on August 30, 2014. His T20 Debut was against Afghanistan at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah on December 8, 2013. His Last T20 was against Sri Lanka at Dubai Sports City Stadium, Dubai on December 13, 2013. His career span for ODI is 2013-2014 and T20 is 2013-2013.
